I dreamed a dream: Elaine Paige's version vs Susan Boyle's version

In her TV Show, Susan Boyle said she wanted to be a singer like Elaine Paige. Did she perform as well as her ? I let you judge:

As for me I prefer Susan Boyle's version :)

Who is Suzan Boyle ? Want to know more about her life ?

Suzan Boyle wanted to give a little smile to her Mom Bridget in the Heaven for she died two years ago at 91 years old. But in fact she did give a smile to all Moms when performing her TV Show on Britain's Got Talent.

Now she's been living alone with a cat called Pebbles and confessed she has never been kissed. But since she became famous a lot of males tried to get her phone number. Asking her if she found her other soul, she answered "no comment" in this interview on MSNBC.

DailyRecord revealed that Suzan Boyle already performed "Cry me a River" 10 years ago but there were only 1000 CDs recorded so it was a real coup to unearth it. It was Eddie Anderson, from a Local Newspaper, who has really first discovered she has a true talent and gave her this first public chance. In truth she was singing since she was 12 but was never given the occasion to demonstrate her talent before.

When a child, she suffered a mild form of brain damage at birth and was bullied a little bit for that but she seems to forgive people as she said, "but they always do that with someone who is quiet and I tended to be quiet at school".

Suzan Boyle takes the Internet by the Storm

On April 11th, Britain's Got Talent, a 90-minute reality show, featured Susan Boyle, a scottish 47-year-old single and unemployed woman. To the public and to the judges (Piers Morgan, Amanda Holden and Simon Cowell), she appeared at first glance under-average with her disordered hair, with not very nice looking face - some would say even uggly. Above all she seemed so ridicule and preposterous when claiming she wanted to be a professional singer like Elaine Paige.

But on the very moment she started to perform "I Dreamed a Dream" from the musical Les Miserables, everybody got stunned ! At the end, Piers told her: “I am giving you the biggest ‘yes’ I have ever given to anybody.” And Amanda: “It was a privilege to listen to you.”

Lyrics:
I dreamed a dream in time gone by
When hope was high,
And life worth living
I dreamed that love would never die
I dreamed that God would be forgiving.

Then I was young and unafraid
When dreams were made and used,
And wasted
There was no ransom to be paid
No song unsung,
No wine untasted.

But the tigers come at night
With their voices soft as thunder
As they tear your hopes apart
As they turn your dreams to shame.

And still I dream he'll come to me
And we will live our lives together
But there are dreams that cannot be
And there are storms
We cannot weather...

I had a dream my life would be
So different from this hell I'm living
So different now from what it seems
Now life has killed
The dream I dreamed.
