Suzan Boyle takes the Internet by the Storm

On April 11th, Britain's Got Talent, a 90-minute reality show, featured Susan Boyle, a scottish 47-year-old single and unemployed woman. To the public and to the judges (Piers Morgan, Amanda Holden and Simon Cowell), she appeared at first glance under-average with her disordered hair, with not very nice looking face - some would say even uggly. Above all she seemed so ridicule and preposterous when claiming she wanted to be a professional singer like Elaine Paige.

But on the very moment she started to perform "I Dreamed a Dream" from the musical Les Miserables, everybody got stunned ! At the end, Piers told her: “I am giving you the biggest ‘yes’ I have ever given to anybody.” And Amanda: “It was a privilege to listen to you.”

Lyrics:
I dreamed a dream in time gone by
When hope was high,
And life worth living
I dreamed that love would never die
I dreamed that God would be forgiving.

Then I was young and unafraid
When dreams were made and used,
And wasted
There was no ransom to be paid
No song unsung,
No wine untasted.

But the tigers come at night
With their voices soft as thunder
As they tear your hopes apart
As they turn your dreams to shame.

And still I dream he'll come to me
And we will live our lives together
But there are dreams that cannot be
And there are storms
We cannot weather...

I had a dream my life would be
So different from this hell I'm living
So different now from what it seems
Now life has killed
The dream I dreamed.
